Working as a Medical Illustrator!

I know that I've been quiet here for awhile, but I promise there is a good reason! Life has been a bit of a whirlwind the last few months, mainly because I got a new job as a medical illustrator!

I hadn't been looking for a new job, but I applied to a single posting on a whim and now here I am, getting to design and create illustrations as my job! It's been a big change from working in a lab and managing an animal colony, but I am so thankful that I took a risk and shifted career paths. I would not have been able to apply if it wasn't for the amazing portfolio that I was able to create through the UW Natural Science Illustration program and all of the skills I learned.

I'm a few months into the job now and still learning a lot every day. I work with a team of talented, creative, and helpful people who are always ready to answer any of my questions, even when it's just how to fix an obvious setting in Adobe Illustrator.

Unfortunately, I can't share any of the work I've made here due to company policy, but I'm still working on personal projects and improving my skills! I've got a nocturnal creatures series nearing completion that you can view on my Instagram and I'm hoping to have stickers and products available soon, so stay tuned!
